Officer Kicked By Woman Being Detained For Assaulting Juvenile Family Member In Woodbridge: PD

A 28-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting both a young family member and an arresting officer in Prince William County, police said.

Officers responded to the 13700 block of Lynn Street in Woodbridge on Tuesday, Aug. 8 for a domestic dispute involving Kaitierra Shavae Thigpen, of Alexandria, Prince William County police said.

During the investigation, Thigpen was being detained for assaulting a juvenile family member when she kicked an officer, police said. The officer was not injured.

Thigpen was jailed on charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, and domestic assault and battery. Bond was set at $6,000.
